Equipment and applications for the disabled

At present VOO does not provide any equipment or applications specific to people with disabilities.

Emergency Services

Emergency services can be called from both fixed and mobile telephones. The numbers 100, 101, 112 can also be called by fax.

VOO Support Services

The VOO technical service can be reached by phone at 078/50 50 50from Monday to Friday from 8h30 to 21h30 and on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 9h00 to 21h30

Tariff Reductions – Social Tariff

The following discounts are provided to beneficiaries of the social tariff:

  • 50% on the telephone or internet installation charge
  • 40% discount on telephone or internet subscription fee with a maximum of €8.40/month.
  • €3.10 discount/month on telephone call charges"

Examples

For a VOO ‘SOLO LIGHT’ internet subscription, the social tariff is 19,55€/month instead of 27,95€/month

The social tariff benefit is granted for only one telephone or internet connection per beneficiary and limited to one beneficiary per household.

Social tariff
The requirements to qualify for this social rate are set out in article 22 of the Schedule to the Act of 13 June 2005 on electronic communications.

To be entitled to this social benefit, you need to comply with one of the requirements detailed below:
Be aged 18 or above, have a recognised degree of disability of at least 66% and be on a low income. The beneficiary of the social benefit option must have a disability degree of at least 66% and be at least 18 years old. He may live alone, either with a maximum of 2 people, or with parents or relatives of the 1st or 2nd degree. Maximum gross annual income € 15,672.71 for one person, to which may be added an annual gross amount of € 2,901.44 per cohabitant.
You have a recognised hearing loss of over 70dB in your good ear or you have had a laryngectomy. The applicant must have a hearing loss of at least 70dB in his/her good ear according to the classification of the International Bureau of Audiophonology (BIAP). The parents or grandparents who have a connection may qualify for this social benefit if their child or grandchild who lives with them, complies with one of the requirements specified above.
You are officially recognised as a blind war veteran.
You are officially recognised as a beneficiary of the guaranteed minimum income benefit.
You are 65 years of age or above and are on a low income.
The beneficiary of the social benefit option must be at least 65 years of age. He may live either alone, with one or several over the age of 60, or with one or more of his school-age children (the school-age requirement does not apply if the children have a disability of at least 66%), or with one or more of his school-age grandchildren if they are orphans of both parents or if they have been placed in the family by court decision (the school-age requirement does not apply if the children have a disability of at least 66%). Maximum gross annual income € 15,672.71 for one person, to which may be added an annual gross amount of € 2901.44 per cohabitant.
